Suzanne Blacker
Dr Suzanne Blacker graduated from Glasgow University in 1997 with BDS and completed vocational training locally in Paisley, working as a dental associate for 18 months in general practice in Paisley.
In 2000 Suzanne left general practice to take up an SHO post at Dundee Dental Hospital and School and returned to Glasgow in 2001 as an SHO and rotated mainly through Oral surgery and Restorative Departments.
In 2004 Suzanne was promoted to staff grade surgeon in Restorative Dentistry, where she treated patients and also taught undergraduate dental students in the Restorative disciplines. She left Glasgow Dental Hospital to go back to Dundee Dental Hospital to take up a post as a Clinical lecturer/ Honorary Specialist Registrar in Restorative Dentistry.
Suzanne has completed an MDSc which focused on dental erosion, a postgraduate teaching qualification and my higher specialist training in Restorative Dentistry, and was appointed as a Senior Clinical Teacher/Hon Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at University of Glasgow in 2013.
Suzanne currently spends half her time teaching undergraduate and postgraduate dental students and half in new patient clinic and treatment sessions specialising in Endodontics.
