Victoria Harper

Dr Victoria Harper, Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant and in Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School. BSc, BDS, PHD, MFDS (RCPSG), FHEA
Victoria is a newly appointed Honorary Consultant and Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School. She has a degree in Microbiology from Heriot Watt University and graduated with a PhD in Molecular biology in 2004 whilst studying for her BDS at the University of Glasgow.
During her early postgraduate training Victoria worked in general practice and followed this up with 12 months training in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departments of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow and Saint John’s Hospital in Livingston. During this time Victoria developed a keen interest in the prosthetic rehabilitation of Head and Neck Cancer patients, this inspired her to undertake Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry.
As a clinical academic Victoria is involved in the development and delivery of the BDS curriculum for the University of Glasgow. She has been Removable Prosthodontics Teaching lead for several years at Glasgow Dental School. Victoria is also a member of the Oral Sciences Research Group and has presented her work with this group nationally and internationally.
