A serious game for the dental team with an emphasis on safeguarding children

Participants will become more aware of the difficulties they face when patients present with various issues including cases that are suspicious of child abuse or neglect and be able to reflect on their experiences in real life and in the game
Participants will learn how thinking styles/ personality can affect decision making. Participants will be able to reflect on the importance of working collaboratively in the game and in real life. Participants will become aware of potential ways to help with decisions they find difficult.
At the end of the session all participants should be able to:
- Reflect on the experience of the game compared to their real life experience.
- Discuss ways of managing difficult situations that might help their own challenging areas
- Reflect on what they need to do in their own practice to manage and cope better with the scenarios in the game.
